    SPECTACULAR ART EXPOSITION

    A spectacular and splendid exposition of innovative artwork created in vivid medium and techniques and styles by veteran master artists of the bygone era and present scenario as well will be presented in the Auditorium hall, Jehangir Art Gallery, M. G. Road, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai 400001 by Rabi Art Gallery of Shantiniketan from 28th May to 3rd June, 2024. It will be open for free public viewing there daily from 11 am to 7 pm and showcase subtle nuances of the creative and innovative art work created by Indian Masters ranging from pre-Independence to contemporary era in a diverse range of rare art works in different mediums and styles which will be a great opportunity for collectors and viewers, art lovers and promoters to witness the diversity and complexity of Indian Art under one roof and get duly enlightened by their ethnic hues in apt perspectives of visual arts..

    This show was inaugurated on 28th May 2024 by Padmashree Dr. Prakash Kothari  Art Collector in the presence of  Prabhakar Kolte Eminent Artist, Prashant Kashikar Managing Director at Mika Engineering India Pvt Ltd., Rtn Khuzem Sakharwala , Co Founder Rotary Club of Mumbai Bravehearts, Ajay Mehta Art Collector, Dr. Jayesh Dakre Nueo Sciencetist and Smart future Counselar, Mahendra Kalantri , Director Acclaim Systems India Pvt Ltd.

    Rabi Art Gallery, Shantiniketan, W.B. is a reputed name in Indian Art world and is synonymous with quality and innovation in the present art Scenario. Sumanta Paul, the honorary Advisor of Rabi Art Gallery who will showcase only the genuine Indian Artwork which is true to the stylish innovations in the Indian Style of works created by masters in this field. Sumanta Paul is a son of late Rabi Paul, a veteran artist of the bygone era who was the disciple of Ramkinkar Baij and Nandlal Bose. He has also closely worked with the well-known director Satyajit Ray for some time. Being a visionary and advocate of Indian Contemporary art, Sumanta Paul founded the Rabi Art Gallery in Shantiniketan in 1996 and has been working closely with several artist and has thereby enriched his authentic collection of rare and splendid artworks over a span of more than a quarter of the century.

    The present exhibition showcases about 2 centuries of artworks using vivid practices, significant trends and a rare peculiarities in the perspectives of Indian Art emphasizing the highlights of the Bengal School. It envisages the spectacular water colours, tempera and Gouache techniques created by eminent artists like Ramkinkar Baij, Abanindranath Tagore, Ganganendranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, Binod Behari Mukherjee, Chittaprosad Bhattacharya, Somnath Hore, Ganesh Pyne, Robin Mandal, Jaimini Roy and Rabi Paul in their typical expressive conceptual works of Modern Version. The exhibition also showcases the innovative and creative endeavours of contemporary artists such as Paritosh Sen, Nirode Majumdar, Sunil Das, Prokash Karmakar, Lalu Prasad Shaw, K. Laxma Gaud, along with veterans like Jogen Chowdhury, Samir Aich, Subrata Gangopadhyaya, Sunil Padwal, T. Vaikuntham and T. V. Santosh and many more in their typical stylish techniques.

    It is a rich spectrum of splendid artwork in well accomplished visual language of expressions adopted by veterans and master artists in the present art scenario and offers a rich tapestry of culture, spirituality, traditional heritage via historical significance vivid sentimental mindscapes in the sensitive mind of young girls in apt environment, royal cultural heritage nuances of social life and their norms in urban and rural environments, beauty of nature in various seasons and its panoramic highlights, still life peculiarities revealing Indian Culture & its traditional heritage in apt perspectives of visual arts. The works in Oil, Acrylic colours on Canvas, Ink on Paper, Gouache on Paper, Tempera Gouache on cloth pasted on board, Pastel on paperm mixed medium etc. created by the various master artists based on numerous thematic peculiarities and specialities are stunning, amazing and marvellous and certainly leave their deep impact on all due to the skilful composition, colour tonal harmony as well as superb expressional subtle nuances.

    WEE – WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS ENCLAVE Organized Event By “Uprise Grrow” & “Pujya Divine Spiritual & Wellness Awards”

    “WEE – Women Entrepreneurs Enclave” organized various Events in a day on 19th May at Hotel Fern. These events were managed by “ShreOM Communications & Solutions”.

    The day started with Keynote speech “Multiplying your own money” by Alpa Shah Powered & Presented  by “Uprise Grrow” along with Knowledge Partner “Empower Education”. A panel discussion was organized with Anju D’Souza (Investor), Kusum Bhatia (Owner of Shyam Bhatia Salon”) and Prashant Trivedi (Advisor of “Uprise Grrow”) which was moderated by Alpa Shah.

    Later, Business Conclave was organized where stage presentations were conducted by Rahul Modi (Owner of “Sapphire Organic Foods”), Seema Trivedi (Founder of “Uprise Grrow”) and Chandni Modi (Owner of “Majesttic Interriors”).

    Ram Prasad Sharma’s Beauty Pageant Show MISS NORTH INDIA 2024 To Be Held In Chandigarh on June 5 2024

    Chandigarh – The beauty pageant show ‘Miss North India 2024’ is being organized Chandigarh on June 5. The organizer of this beauty contest is Ram Prasad Sharma.

    R.P.Sharma is a garment businessman and has been organizing beauty pageant shows for many years.

    He has also organized many beauty shows in Mumbai before this. R.P.Sharma is a resident of Delhi and he has also got full support of his family in this work. Selected participants from more than 25 different cities will participate in the Miss North India 2024 beauty contest. All these participants have been selected through online contest.     Manoj Bajpayee Promotes New Feature Film BHAIYYA JI At Marwah Studios

    Noida: Celebrated actor Manoj Bajpayee, renowned for his versatile performances, visited Marwah Studios for the promotion of his upcoming film “Bhaiyya Ji” at Noida Film City. Reflecting on his longstanding relationship with Marwah Studios, Bajpayee reminisced, “I have thirty years of relations with Marwah Studios.     Film Maker Akash Sagar Chopra’s Documentary WALKING WITH M Wins Four Awards Across The Film Festival Circuit In Europe

    Walking With M has been now taken up for distribution in North America

    India – May 23, 2024 – Film Maker and Producer Akash Sagar Chopra’s highly acclaimed and award winning documentary, “Walking With M” is a ground-breaking feature and a global documentary event, that has garnered honours at various international film festivals.

    The film made with over 1500hrs of archival footage has received the Best Documentary Award (Berlin FFI) at Milan Italy, The Global Peace and Harmony Award at The International Film Festival The Hague, Out-standing Achievement Award at the Swedish International Film Festival, and has also won the prestigious Honorable Mention Award at the Athens International Monthly Film Festival in Athens, Greece.

    With a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes, ‘Walking with M’ is based on the Walk of Hope 2015 movement, a peace march led by Author and Educationist Mumtaz Ali (Sri M, recipient of the Padmabhushan Award 2020), as he and a group of 100 co-walkers walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, in the year 2015.

    7-years in making, the film tells the incredible story of Sri M’s ardoulous 7500km journey on foot, emphasizing the change within the individual as a true catalyst for societal change. Told through a gripping narrative, the film covers a journey of 474 days, across India’s di-verse landscape.

    Receiving immense praise and acclaim across its screenings in Milan, Athens and across the Euro-pean Film Festival Circuit, the film has also garnered nominations for Best Director of a Documentary, Best Editing of a Documentary, and The Historical Interest Award at Film Fest International (Berlin FFI) Milan, Italy. It has also been selected as a Finalist at the Scandinavian International Film Awards (Cameo Awards Gala).

    The documentary has also been selected and screened at renowned film festivals across Asia and other parts of Europe including Film South Asia (Nepal), Paradise Film Festival(Budapest, Hungary),  and The Stockholm City Film Festival and it had its UK premiere with 2 screenings at the prestigious Garden Cinemas in London.

    The film also premiered in Fremont, a part of the Bay Area near San Francisco, USA with 3 shows running at a full house capacity back-to-back, with a demand for more.

    Closer home, the first Indian screening after the global festival circuit held at The Royal Opera House in Mumbai where the film received a 7-minute standing ovation.

    Speaking about the documentary, film maker Akash Sagar Chopra, and CEO of Sagar Pictures Entertainment said, “It’s heartwarming to witness widespread resonance with our documentary.     Jay Patel has a fascinating story about how he landed the role of Shyamji Krishna Varma. When Randeep Hooda reached out to him, he mentioned that Varma was a Gujarati and an NRI, assuming Patel must know him well. Indeed, Patel was familiar with Varma’s life story since childhood. His childhood friend lived just 500 meters from Varma’s house in Mandvi, Kutch, Gujarat, and stories about Varma were a regular part of his upbringing. Patel also visited India House in London in 1997, which further deepened his connection to Varma’s legacy.

    When Patel recounted Varma’s life journey to Hooda, the director was astounded by his knowledge. Hooda then convinced Patel to take on the role, noting that his Gujarati heritage and NRI background made him a perfect fit. Hooda assured Patel that if he could embody the character’s essence, the acting part would naturally follow. This conversation, which took place at 4 AM in New York, lasted for hours and marked the beginning of Patel’s journey into the film.

    Jai Sanatan Cinema has announced an exciting new web series titled Baba Neeb Karori… Mauni Maa featuring Jitendra Singh (Sabu) in the lead role as Neeb Karori Baba and Navni Parihar as Mouni MaaThe series promises to offer a captivating portrayal of the revered Hindu guru whose teachings have influenced countless lives both in India and abroad. The recording for the series’ soundtrack, featuring renowned singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza, took place today at Studio Space in Andheri, Mumbai. The event witnessed the presence of notable actors such as Navni Parihar, Amit Behl, Jaya Bhattacharya, Deepak Qazir, Mukul Naag, Tinaa Ghaai, Sunil Pal, adding to the series’ anticipated star power.

    Neeb Karori Baba, also known to his followers as ‘Maharaj-ji’, was a Hindu guru and a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman. He gained international recognition for being the spiritual master of numerous Americans who traveled to India in the 1960s and 1970s, including spiritual teachers Ram Dass and Bhagavan Das, and musicians Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. His teachings emphasized simplicity, devotion, and service, leaving a lasting impact on his followers worldwide.

    Speaking about his role, Jitendra Singh (Sabu) shared, “Portraying Neeb Karori Baba is a privilege, honour and responsibility. His life and teachings have touched so many hearts, and our goal is to bring his story to life in a way that resonates with people today. We hope to inspire and enlighten viewers through this series.”

    The series is being produced under the banner of Jai Sanatan Cinema Pvt Ltd, with Jitendra Singh and Bishnu Mishra serving as producers and co-producers Ankit Raathi and Anita Singh. Helmed by director Jitendra Singh (Sabu), who also stars as Neeb Karori Baba, the creative direction and editing are managed by Prince. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are crafted by Dilip Mishra and Jitendra Singh, ensuring a deep and authentic representation of Neeb Karori Baba’s life. The music for the series is directed by Syed Ahmed with lyrics penned by Shankar A. Mishra and Vimal Kashyap.     मुम्बई। गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स होल्डर डॉक्टर 365 और आरके एचआईवी एड्स रिसर्च एंड केयर सेंटर के अध्यक्ष डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार द्वारा मुम्बई के जुहू बीच पर 19 मई 2024 को महा आरोग्य शिविर’ का आयोजन किया गया जो बहुत सफल मेडिकल और हेल्थ कैम्प रहा जिसमें हजारों लोगों ने लाभ लिया।

    इस महा आरोग्य शिविर के आयोजन में सीसीआरएस मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ आयुष और रोट्री क्लब मुम्बई नार्थ आइलैंड जुहू एरोबिक्स टीम का भी सहयोग रहा।

    डॉक्टर 365 के डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार ने कहा कि यह महा आरोग्य शिविर बहुत सफल रहा। इस शिविर में मुफ्त स्वास्थ्य जांच, मुफ्त दवाएं, ब्लड प्रेशर और सुगर चेकअप किया गया। साथ ही लोगों को फ्री च्वनप्राश और इम्युनिटी बूस्टर किट भी वितरित की गई। यहां दो दर्जन से अधिक डॉक्टर्स और पैरामेडिकल स्टाफ ने लोगों की जांच की।

    बता दें कि आरके एचआईवी एड्स रिसर्च एंड केयर सेंटर के अध्यक्ष डॉ धर्मेंद्र कुमार द्वारा अब तक 96 हजार ऑपरेशन का लाभ लोगों को मिला है, 29899 मेडिकल कैम्प का आयोजन किया जा चुका है वहीं एक लाख सर्जरी करवाई गई है और 4.26 करोड़ मरीजों ने लाभ लिया है।2.8 हजार करोड़ की दवाएं वितरित की गई हैं। 35 लाख लोगों को चश्मे देकर उन्हें रौशनी देने का नेक कार्य किया है। 1.3 लाख लोगों को व्हीलचेयर की सुविधा देकर दिव्यांगों की सहायता की है।

    Hindustan Ratna Award Show Concludes Grandly In Mumbai

    The ceremony of ‘Hindustan Ratna Award’ was held in a grand manner on 18th May at  ‘Mukti Cultural Hub’ Model Town Andheri West. The event was organised by Rajkumar Tiwari,  editor and publisher of Mumbai’s popular newspaper Mumbai Global News and Puneet Khare of  Mayuri Media Network along with Parth Kotak. The co-coordinators of the program are Uttam  Bhansali and Ramprasad Sharma. Rajkumar Tiwari keeps encouraging new talents, businessmen,  social workers etc. by organizing award shows in India and abroad. This is the twentieth awards  show from Mumbai Global.

    Kalashri Dr Lata Surendra  known for curating festivals with unique themes once  again  came up with  SHAPATH- An Ode  unto Vows, Oaths, Resolutions in mythology An exploration of cause and effectt to endorse the meanings in the weaving threads  of our mythologies by imaginative ,adventurous choreographers  and Seasoned practitioners of the city on May1’2024 at the Mysore Association Auditorium ,Mumbai .

    The momentum  for the celebration  was set  by  Bharata College of Fine Arts & Culture , the   founder Principal of which  is  Dr Sandhya Purecha ,Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi. ‘Swarajya’ absolutely  set the prelude to the exploration of SHAPATH  . Vibrant and seasoned  dancers  Chitra Dalvi , Pushkar(Bharatanatyam )  Latasana Devi  (.Manipuri)  and the renowned   Shubhada Varadkar  also the choreographer (Odissi) brought to life  the theme of  ‘Swarajya’  . It  was just the right start to  compliment the  Maharashtra Divas  that  at Mysore Auditorium , sought  to   celebrate the World Dance Day   with a potent  theme of  ‘Shapath’  . ‘Swarajya’ highlighted  the  pledge of freedom taken by Bal shivaji  to fight for freedom , to worship, to speak and live without fear, and a  pledge not to suffer  injustice.

    The choreography with experienced  dancers made explicit the scenes  very evocatively. Commencing with the visually  aesthetic and  pulsating    ‘Jadev Jaydev jay ”  what  followed  was Queen Jijamate’s lullaby  . A unique lullaby that sought to awaken the  Bal Shivaji  to  enemies around .  It was such  an  apt  choice of the. Choreographer to havie  it enframed in Manipuri

    The experienced Exponents  depicted  the journey of Shivaji to Chatrapthi Sh ivaji . Highlighting  the strength and sacrifice of  a commander such as Bajirao  Prabhu who  though   critically injured motivated the army to hold fort  until  Shivaji’s safe journey to  Vishalgadh was signaled. The  well  knit performance impacted  within  the capsuled framework stipulated and  higighted that impacting in dance  absolutely  transcends  time . In th e blink of an eye and epoch can take shape  and  the one solo can impact as much as a group because the dance is about the one in all and all in the one.  Kudos to the  choreographer , the team, the  edifice nurturing the city with the aesthetics of fine arts !

    The anticipation  in the  fully packed auditorium   was evident  as  Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya  (the founder Principal of  which   is none other than   the  late legendary  veteran  Padmabhushan Dr Kanak Rele,) sought to explore the theme .

    A thought provoking choreography  was presented defining Shapath     through strategic  episodes from  Mahabharat by the. Competent ,  imaginative  Principal  Dr Uma Rele  that  stirred  profound questions!

    Why morality  remained  the substance of truth and truth the essence of all morality ? Why   a Bhishma’s commitment to the throne , Draupadi’s humiliation ,Bhima’s loyalty to his brother despite their shortcomings.? The gripping  choreography through probing delved into the morality lacing all actions  defining the Ode to Shapath  through a skillful weaving  of potency of   chosen styles   and a team of vibrant

    dancers – Taamohar Biswas ,Radhika Nair,Mohan Acharya,Jainami Gada, Gauri Ajith, Meera Wagh, Kavya Varma,Urvashi Gupta, Karthika Murugan, Venkateshwari Nadar, Amanda Chetty.  The right choice of performers and the right styles to drape an emotion /character is always crucial to   impacting  and Kudos to  Uma Releji for  the well meditated upon weaving  bringing to life a theme so solendrously!

    ‘ Bhagirath Shapath  ‘ that followed,  Choreographed by the renowned   veteran –   Kathak Exponent Founder & Artistic  Director   Guru Shila Mehta   was a studied interpretation of the layers of  Bhagavati Ganga’s  descent .Commencing with Gangagayatri Mantra  it mirrored the distinctive touch of the creator . It was interesting on the dance day to also watch the related chemistry and connect of every mentor with their Shishyas  that made Diksha so meaningful . Under the astute watchful eye of  the  Guru the sacred river  came to life  answering the cry of Bhaveeratha .   Guru Shila Mehta’s  talented senior disciples-   Mansi Somaiya, KrutikaSawant, Sumana Sachidananda  were graceful and impacting   in their  subdued yet powerful execution . A very energetically aggressive  contrast to the softness was ‘SHAPATH’  – by dancers with passion & fire in  their hearts,  who had all the audience charged with an infectious momentum through the synergy of    Odiss i ( Sanatan Chakravarty) Kathak  (Aditya Garud )& Bharatnatyam  (Nilesh Singha)  – the city’s very  dynamic male dancers . Determination laced the delineation   of each of the artists . Their intent and conviction and a desire to break through with their signatures  had their  identities  exuding masculine power and grace endorsing   a strong  pledge  to  surpass every challenge  to stand out amidst a sea of human faces Panchali Sapatham , draped in Bharatanatyam style  based on the  lyrics by Tamil nationalist poet  laureate Subramania  Bharati, popularly known as “Bharatiyaar”  was Choreographed  in the signature style of the imaginative  Mentor – tthe experienced choreographer  Smt Jayashree Nair and executed by dedicated dancers – Aarya Kumar,  Adwita Pradeep,  Dhananandini  Rajaruban,  Jasmeet Taak,  Jhassithaa Balakrishna, Namrata Paralkar, Neha Nair,  Saritha Pradeep,  Sashank Shetty, Shrushti Jayaprakash  & Vishesha Adhvaryu.  It  was a  meaningful   exploring of r Draupadi’s Oath  that had the rooted attention of the fully packed auditorium . What enhanced  the  choreography was the  Music by late K Narayana with vocals  by the mellifluos Sri Siva Prasad N N   and   Smt. Sujatha Nair renowned Dancer , daughter / disciple of the Guru   . It was amazing how a chapter unfolded dance to dancer!

    The oath of Panchali  to  the oath of  Parvati  was  just a dance step  away !  The greatest oath always  is the one to love unconditionally  and  Parvati

    proving  her love to become one with Shiva eternally that ultimately  had Amba and Shiva merging as -Sambasadashiva  was what followed . It was visually  etched evocatively   by Dr Piyush Raj andDr Sunil Sunkara with  a deep rooted  commitment to do justice to its pulsating lyrical content penned by the great Master himself –   Padmashri  Puru Dadeech     What  a blessing  indeed  for the  experienced performers to present  the creation in  the witnessing presence of their  Mentor and  creator –  who had not only   penned lyrics  and compoosed it   but also choreographed  it.    It was a task whether to look at the Mentor watching  the disciples or  gather  him  through the  disciples !

    From Kathak to contemporary , the dance  and  choice ofsubject changed . World Dance Day it was with a draping of the theme in contemporary dance  by  the exlerienced   intense performer Ammith M L Kumar kumar & Ritika Ochani  – DANCE WORX (TDX )!  A jaw dropping  exploring  it was truly , with ethereal Echoes  in endless corridors   resonating  with oaths  orbiting  in  tunneling  corridors  of time . Excellence followed  excellence  and the sensitive audience  were enthralled by the Yakshagana that followed.

    What a  splendid performance  it was  with Bhasmasura -Mohini  episode in Yakshagana by Ankita Naik  – the disciple of Guru Gopala Ganiga Heranjalu  – renowned Yaksha Guru .   Ankita  as Bhasmasura  was endearing ,adorable   ,a well practised delineation that gathered a flowing spontaneity  developed to bring a laughter ,a smile  that had our hearts go out to the demon … a desire to hug the demon  too at times ! Ankita was complimented by Sapna Thapa  as  Mohini  Majestic and purposive and  intriguing the demon with a body language that bespoke of her  maturity .  Kashish  as Shiva  helped  provide  the reason for the  causal drama .  Bhasmura- Mohini   merited a standing ovation from the  very sensitive audience that made  every reaching out ever so blissful. Two  experienced exponents Dr Sailaja Desai   ( Kuchipudi)and Dr Suman Badami( Bharatanatyam)  came together in the  artistic dimensions  of May1’2024 to gather the descent of the Ganga  to accord salvation to the sons of sagara .. an answer to the penance undertaken by Bhageeratha.  Visually pleasing in white they complimented each other  effectively draping their choreography through Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam Curators of the Powai Fine Arts    that they are  their  acute awareness of each  other’s style  ,their concern with the message highlighted that dance should  seek to express more than impress.  The cry of the Ganga  reluctant to leave heaven echoed in the  turmoil racing within Yashodara by  accomplished  exponent Pallavi Shome, an alumni of Kathak Kendra, New Delhi who very  sensitively  exploredthe great poet  Maithili Sharan Gupt’s-  ‘ Re mann, aaj pariksha teri’ from his work titled ‘Yashodhara’ Inspite of a knee Injury that curtailed her movements with skillful modification of  her own choreography she draped the stirring poem’s intensity  with a  subdued delineation that highlighted her obvious  experience  .

    Curator  Kalashri Dr Lata Surendra and her disciples Ananya Mohan, Lavanyakshi Uchil,Megha Pillai,Mahek Prajapati ,

    reached out with three vows  Lord Shiva    urged Parvati to keep . The fact she could not keep it led to the causal  trail of events where  Sati  awakens her Father Daksha Prajapati of  his own  entreaty unto her – Shakthi , to be born as his daughter . His insults and rage has  Sati  reveal her true form as Shakti  and   in a bid to severe the worldly bond between her and her father  she  self-  immolates herself in   fire to the dismay of all present.

    The choice of music  ,  Indian,Indo-  western,with Synergy of Carnatic swaras came into its own in the  ‘Ardhanareeshwar’ composition penned   by Padmashri Guru Puru Dadheech   . Deftly the  swaras draping lyrics were woven to embrace the Adi Thalam format by the experienced Curator. .

    Lata was supported  by  her mature disciples  and the item merited appreciation by the legendary Veteran Guru Shri Puru Dadheech himself.

    A stirring ‘Chanakya Shapatham ‘ by Samidha’s Institute of performing arts and her  Disciples –

    Madhavi Ghante,Anushree Kumbhar, Lithika Prabhakar, Kanchan Salve, Ranika Pathak, Jahnvi Joshi,   developed the theme  of the day . With maturity using the young talented moulds  Samidha explored  sincerely -Chanakya taking  his oath after being  insulted by  King – Dhanananda in the royal assembly;   His  one thought of revenge  that  had him train Chandragupta Maurya  and finally   his crushing  the Nanda dynasty to  establish the  glorious Maurya Empire.. The scenes    impacted through the carefully worked out choreography using the young dedicated disciples skillfully .

    A sankalp  vital in defining a ‘savitri ‘ the  strong woman in every woman , “mai savitri” underlined the obvious  efforts put in by Gayatri Bhat   the tres talented disciple of Guru Ranjana Phadke   . An impacting performance  endorsed her creative acumen . It is this  alone  that takes any artist   far .. with a name  to reckon with amidst a sea of human faces. The growth of this artist i have  observed . An innate pathos that resurges with the cry of humanity   that will have her make a distinctive mark  and have all  absolutely  relate  her name with the style   .  The  all  favourite  of the day seemed Draupadi and  young  ,talented ,dedicated

    Krishnabhadra Namboodiri – Disciple of  the committed Guru  Gayatri Subramanian  endeared  herself to  all hearts , with her sensitive exploring of Draupadi .

    What a subdued yet strong defining of a well meditated  choreography  , young yet intense  .  Her adherence to the  detailing  prevalent  in the subdued and powerful choreography  of her Guru was remarkable.  A whisper  they say  can be louder than a shout and it is one feature of her Guru  Gayatri Subramaniun   i   always appreciate. The day stretched on and yet  the timeless was experienced  through every reaching out. Jayalakshmi Anand  & Anand Satchidanand .. chaste , intense and  dignified  ,a duo   who never fail to   stir aesthetic hearts  . It was an interesting dimension throughTirunavukkarasars Thevaram padigam – Maathar Pirai.

    Shiva fulfilling both vows – that of the Bhakta to see Shiva and Shakti (Kailasa) and his vow to guide his Pasus to realise the Pati  What a command performance  . Such is  the potency of compositions  that to relate  it’s universality  to life through art  , all it takes is to relate to the words waiting in compositions seeking to be draped in chords and yearning to dance into hearts as a message !

    It was the turn of the rasikas to stretch their feet to participate and  the ‘Movement Metaphor in DMT  an interesting session by Dr. Lata Narayan -a retired Professor from TISS, in the discipline of Social Work did just that . She   had the audience come on to the stage!

    It is the bond between the audience  and rasikas that has  kept  tradition alive  through the times Talented disciples of Guru Smt. Alakananda Mukherjee Sanjana Kamble, Vedanti Parab, Vaishnavi Menon, Prakriti Mahapatra, Nidhi Kamble, Sanika,  brought to life their Guru ‘s  choreography  to visually  etch the profound  promise  shared by Radha and Krishna  ..a promise embracing   all that is romance in this world . It was  inspired by Bhanusingha Thakurer Padavali that comprised of Vaishnava verses penned by Rabindranath Tagore   in Brajbuli  and the disciples endeared  themselves to all  with their commitment  and dedication.

    Dedicated Saranya Jaselin   performed  Arjun Chaturang – A unique chaturang in Arjun Taal (24 Matra) written by Sunil Sunkara and composed by Advaith Roy  that brought  forth the journey of Arjun upto the moment on the battlefield. Where with Gita as Sakshi   he took  the oath to move forth as the protector of Dharma as Gandivdhari Arjuna.The Mentor is reflected in the shishya .. Sharanya’s execution carried  her dedicated observation and an  awareness . A deep passion  for her dance form and  her respect for those who were instrumental in shaping her talent . Her Guru Padmashri Puru Dadhich  and her  imaginative choreographer/ bhaiya Sunil  was very much mirrored in her evocative delineation .

    When we started planning for a new film, we faced the daunting challenge of deciding which film to make that could serve as a strong foundation for us. Suddenly, the idea came to Maann Singh ji’s mind that if we were to get the title “Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai”, then what could be a bigger film than this? This is a name that dwarfs even big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgan, Govinda, and Akshay Kumar.

    It was Baba Nanak’s grace that we got the title of this holy name. I am telling you the truth that we hadn’t even dreamt that the biggest star of this world, or let’s say the most prestigious project, Baba Nanak Ji, would land in our lap. This title was not just a coincidence for us; it was a clear indication from Baba Nanak Ji that this film was meant only for us to make, otherwise why would we get this title?

    Question: What was your first step after getting the title? I mean to say, this film’s title indicates that it’s a very sensitive subject, and if there’s even a slight mistake, the Sikh community might not tolerate it. “After getting this title, our responsibilities increased significantly. We tried to find a good story from many writers, but we were disappointed; we couldn’t find any story that could touch the heart.”

    We started taking every step cautiously. Firstly, we learned the Punjabi language. After that, Maann Singh ji has many Sikh friends who have good knowledge of Baba Nanak Ji’s context. We formed a team with them and kept consulting them regularly and seeking their advice.

    As we couldn’t find a story, we started feeling disheartened. Then Maann Singh ji suggested that since the story is scattered around you, you should gather it. Then I compiled those events that had happened with people by Baba’s grace. Honestly, this film is not just a film but a true expression of faith and belief. When you all watch this film, believe me, somewhere it will resonate with your own story or the story of your own people.

     

    Question: Will you direct this film yourself? Was this not initially planned even after getting the title? I am asking this question because before this, you have Produced many big films, but all of those films had different directors?”

    “I am telling you the truth, initially I didn’t plan to direct this film. After getting the title, we contacted several Punjabi directors, but after discussing with them, Maann Singh ji was not satisfied, and he decided that now I have to direct this film because I had written the entire script. I lived every scene moment by moment, engraved it in my heart, so the justice I can do with this film, perhaps no one else can. After Maann Singh ji’s decision, our significant responsibility began.”

    Question: As a film producer, you have produced many big films, directed trend-setting TV serials like “Aashiana,” and also made several advertisement films. What made you feel the need to train under Hollywood legend director Martin Scorsese?

    “Whatever I have achieved today is largely due to the immense contribution of my husband, Maann Singh ji, and my son, Vedant Singh. During the filmmaking process, both of them constantly boosted my morale, and it was with their encouragement that I was able to direct such a big film. My son suggested that before directing such an iconic film, I should join the academy of  Hollywood legend director Martin Scorsese so that I could understand the nuances of film direction deeply. Following my son’s advice, he enrolled me in Martin Scorsese’s academy, where I underwent six months of direction training.”

    Question: When your script was complete, why did you have Mukesh Rishi, Vindu Dara Singh, Dolly Mattoo and Sardar Sohi in mind while selecting actors? Why not anyone else?

    “In our film industry, there are many versatile actors, but the actors chosen for the characters in our film, when you watch the film, you will realize that only those actors could have portrayed those characters, and there was no other option.”

    Question: Are you planning any film production in the future?

    “Yes, we have three films in mind: ‘Kyoon Chup Hai Ganga,’ ‘Jholjhaal Dot Com,’ and ‘Kaash Tumse Mohabbat Na Hoti.'”

    Question: Would you like to say something to your readers and viewers?

    “Absolutely, I would like to say to all the people of the world, especially those who have true faith and devotion in the Divine, Baba Nanak Dev Ji, that they must watch this film.”

    A Tale of Grit and Resilience on the Face of Adversity – “Boonie Bears: Guardian Code”

    “Boonie Bears: Guardian Code” offers an interesting animation story of Bramble and Briar, who embark on an unknown journey to reunite with their mother. Along the way, they stumble across evil scientists, robotic monsters & a unique mom. The film goes back & forth giving viewers an idea on what happened on that fateful day. The film’s appealing messaging of being always positive and the importance of family bonds & environmental awareness gives it an interesting narrative 

    Directed by Yongchan Ling, The movie’s first half is comedic and adventurous as Briar and Bramble pose to be robots and encounter the menacing Scrap Rebel gang, with a maniacal Leonard (Chris Boike) as their leader. Through flashbacks, the narrative’s vibes & then shifts to delicate and emotional moments as the brothers escape to an island with a warrior bear, Urusa (Kally Khourshid), who reminds them of their mother.

    “Breaking Boundaries: ‘Saksham’ Paves the Way for Regional Cinema on Global Stage”                                                                                Hindi film “Saksham” has been nominated for screening at the Cannes Film Festival, a significant milestone not only for the filmmakers and actors of Gorakhpur but also for Indian cinema as a whole. The film carries a powerful social message and has been praised for its unique storyline and performances.

     A press conference for the film was held at the 5-star “Courtyard Marriott”in Gorakhpur. Actor and MP Ravi Kishan congratulated the film, emphasizing its importance for the development of the cinema infrastructure in Gorakhpur. The film, under the direction of local filmmaker Shubhanshu Satyadeo, has faced numerous challenges in Mumbai but never backed down.      “Saksham” is written and directed by Shubhanshu Satyadeo, a native of Gorakhpur. The film’s journey has been one of struggle and determination, with Satyadeo facing numerous challenges in Mumbai before finally achieving recognition. The film has been nominated in the top 10 films from India and was selected by the Film Producers Association of India, the National Film Development Corporation, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It will be screened at the ‘Indian Pavilion’ at the festival.

     The film’s story revolves around the inspiring tale of underprivileged children who fight for education despite their circumstances. Ninety percent of the film’s scenes were shot in the village of Vantangia in Gorakhpur, a village adopted by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The film is dedicated to literacy, de-addiction, cleanliness, poverty, and child labor, making it a unique and socially conscious project.

     The cast of “Saksham” includes renowned Bollywood actors such as Ranjeet, Raayo Bakhri(Fame Pyar ka Punchnama) Sameer Khakkar, Bijendra Kala, Kamlesh Sawant, Vikram Gokhale, Dinesh Lamba, Sudhir Pandey, Omkar Das Manikpuri, and Heeba Shah (daughter of Naseeruddin Shah). Local talents like Mehek Khan, Arnav Suman, Zaid Khan, Arsh Sheikh, Nitish Mishra,Sahil Sheikh, and Prashant Upadhyay showcased remarkable acting skills in the film.The film is produced by Navin Agrawal, with Sandeep Singh (Velocity Tooth Brush) as the co-producer.     8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 Scales New Heights!

    Noida, India — Creative excellence gets a fresh shot in the arm as the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week, held in Noida set unprecedented records, becoming the largest fashion event hosted by an educational institution both in India and international circuits.

    This three-day event dazzled attendees with its innovative displays in fashion and furniture design, under the leadership of Festival President the inimitable Sandeep Marwah, who is also the president of Marwah Studios.

    Organised by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in collaboration with AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Interior Design, and AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, the festival showcased the depth of global creative talent. An impressive roster of participants from 72 countries contributed tothe culturally rich and diverse experience.

    The event featured 200 designers who participated in 90 rounds of runway shows, displaying over 550 garments. Additionally, there were four exhibitions including collections of coffee table books, Indian suits and sarees, a Photography Exhibition, and 100 creative furniture pieces. The culinary arts were also highlighted with 9 food shows representing the cuisine of 20 countries, all prepared by 700 professionals over nearly three months of planning.

    The festival attracted an astounding 23,000 people, including 250 notable figures from the fashion and design world, as well as 20 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, adding a significant international flavour to the event. A marching band from AAFT added a royal touch to the festivities, which were covered by 500 media houses worldwide.

    Each day of the event was documented by the AAFT School of Journalism, with support from 100 volunteers from AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising, 100 digital media representatives from AAFT School of Digital Marketing and 100 camera persons from AAFT School of Still Photography.

    The overwhelming appreciation and congratulations from 72 nations underscored the festival’s success in integrating and showcasing the unique cultural garments of various countries, alongside their national flags, in a spectacular ramp show format.

    The opening session of the event was graced by distinguished guests including H.E. Dambajavyn Ganbold, Ambassador of Mongolia, Cdr. K.L. Ganju, Honourary Consul General of Comoros in India, celebrated designer Rina Dhaka and Ruby Yadav, Cultural Head of the BJP Wing. The session was supported by the World Peace Development and Research Foundation, which endeavours to promote the messages of love, peace, and unity through art and culture as championed by Marwah Studios.

    International Showcase At The 8th Global Fashion And Design Week In Noida Surpasses Expectations

    Noida, India — Setting a new benchmark, the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week hosted in Noida emerged as the largest event of its kind organized by an educational institution on a global scale. Over three days, the festival captivated an international audience with groundbreaking fashion and furniture designs, spearheaded by Festival President Sandeep Marwah, also the head of Marwah Studios.

    The event was orchestrated by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry alongside AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Interior Design, and AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, drawing creative talents from 72 nations to partake in a celebration of diverse cultural artistry.

    The festival featured a dynamic schedule of 90 runway shows with 200 designers unveiling more than 550 distinct garments. It also included four specialized exhibitions showcasing coffee table books, traditional Indian Suits & Sarees, a Photography Exhibition, and an array of 100 innovative furniture designs. Culinary arts were prominently featured with 9 food exhibitions representing the gastronomy of 20 countries, meticulously prepared by 700 experts over the course of three months. 

    Drawing an impressive attendance of 23,000 people, the event was a gathering place for 250 esteemed personalities from the realms of fashion and design, including 20 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, thereby enriching the international appeal. The presence of a marching band from AAFT added a regal ambiance to the proceedings, which were broadcasted by 500 media outlets globally. 

    Daily updates were provided by the AAFT School of Journalism, supported by 100 volunteers from AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising, 100 digital media specialists from AAFT School of Digital Marketing, and 100 photographers from AAFT School of Still Photography. 

    The event’s success was further highlighted by the applause and commendations from 72 participating countries, celebrating the festival’s ability to integrate and exhibit distinctive cultural attire alongside national flags in a grand runway presentation.

    The producers are Maann Singh and Vedant Singh. This film is a social film based on faith and belief.

    Swinky Wants To Be A Part Of Films That Are Family-Friendly, Have Impactful Songs And Are Full Of Social Message

    Actress Swinky Singh is soon going to work in a new film and webseries. Swinky is a resident of Delhi and she also received her education there. She has advertised for sarees, salwar, jewelery and others in  print advertisements. She also does fashion shows and events. Swinky has been fond of acting since childhood.

    After watching the serials, she got influenced by them and she also wanted to enter the acting world.  She especially liked Urvashi Dholakia’s negative character Komalika.

    Swinky is acting in films, webseries, serials. She has worked in Hindi and Haryanvi music videos and is working  in many future projects also. She has also worked in short films. She is influenced by the acting of Salman Khan  in Bollywood, KGF star Yash in South cinema, Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal and Diljit Dosanjh.

    So among the actresses he likes Priyanka Chopra and Neeru Vaazva. Swinky is fond of travelling, cooking and listening to music.

    She is extremely religious and bubbly by nature, cheerful and intelligent. Apart from Hindi, Swinky is also influenced  by Punjabi films. Swinky idolizes her father and is very close to her mother.

    Swinky Singh is busy with her upcoming project and says that she should be honest towards her work and work diligently.  Swinky is a believer and does yoga to keep herself fit in daily life. She has unwavering faith in God.

    She believes that luck helps you in achieving success but only your hard work, efforts and faith will become the path to your success.

    Swinky has mostly played negative roles. She wants to play all types of characters, especially she likes the character of a cheerful  and lively girl. She wants to be a part of South Indian films like KGF. Like the role played by Priyanka Chopra in the film Aitraaz,  Swinky also wants to do a different character. She says that there are many facilities in digital time but some digital platforms and  web series are misleading the family and society.     An exhibition of Photographs by Kabeer Ramesh

    Photo artist Kabeer Ramesh offers yet another solo exhibition titled ‘Every Picture has a story…’, the previous being ‘Frozen in Time’, which was held at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.  ‘Every Picture has a story…’,  exhibited at the ‘Nitya Artists Centre’, Prabhadevi, from 1st May, 2024 onwards, grapples with, as the title suggests, human endeavours/stories in diverse and vivid contexts; these are photo-stories of promises and perils of being human: the glories and triumphs memorialised in monuments are juxtaposed with toiling workers in busy bazaar streets of Kolkata; the symbols of towering human achievements – the world famous the Taj Mahal and London Bridge – co-habit with the unease of forlorn ruins of the dilapidated and discarded. Interestingly, the idea of loners is presented in creatively imagined forms – the ‘lone stone’ of Shillong relentlessly standing up to vagaries of waters, and the unending wait of birds in summer of Rajasthan. The trees presented in Kabeer Ramesh’s work too depict the diverse meaning universe: the erratic desires of the colonising human, and the falling humanity supported by dried branches of the uprooted. The exhibition also offers noteworthy studies in perspective – the broad-ways and the marvel of the Howrah bridge – what appears as meeting may be illusive, and what is near maybe far.  The monuments in Kabeer’s work present an enigma: the famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris lost its glorious treasures to the leaps of fire; so is the photograph of statue outside the Buckingham Palace, glorious yet stoic.

    Kabeer Ramesh’s photographic imagery thus represents the indomitable human spirit, and also cautions against the unreasonable, erratic human desire to colonize. Importantly his works show that all human boundaries, all boundaries, are illusive,  porous and imaginary. One could easily cross over the meaning universe and find multiple meanings through acts and ways of seeing and looking, in varied times and spaces.

    दिनों पिछले दिनों राजू टाक द्वारा भारतीय सिनेमा के पितामह  दादा  साहेब  फाल्के  की स्मृति में बॉम्बे एंटरटेनमेंट के बैनर तले अंधेरी (वेस्ट), मुंबई स्थित वेदा कुनबा थिएटर (सिंटा टावर) में आयोजित दादा साहेब फाल्के चित्रनगरी (फिल्म सिटी) अवॉर्ड 2024 समारोह संपन्न हुआ। फिल्म विधा से जुड़े हर क्षेत्र में क्रियाशील प्रतिभाओं को प्रकाश में लाने और प्रोत्साहित करने की दिशा में राजू टांक के द्वारा सन् 1989 से संचालित बैनर बॉम्बे एंटरटेनमेंट अग्रसर है।

    दादा साहेब फाल्के चित्रनगरी (फिल्म सिटी) अवॉर्ड 2024 समारोह के आयोजन में बॉलीवुड के वरिष्ठ प्रचारक पुनीत खरे की अहम भूमिका रही। पुनीत खरे 80 के दशक से ही बतौर फिल्म प्रचारक (पीआरओ) एंटरटेनमेंट वर्ल्ड में अपनी विशिष्ट छवि कायम कर चुके हैं। फिलवक्त इवेंट मैनेजमेंट की दुनिया में काफी एक्टिव हैं। इस अवॉर्ड समारोह में दादा साहेब फाल्के के ग्रैंडसन चंद्रशेखर पुसालकर और उनकी दत्तक पुत्री नेहा बंदोपाध्याय को खास तौर पर सम्मानित किया गया।
