            Recent work of a well-known artist Paul Dmello is showing his solo art exhibition at Hirji Jehangir Art Gallery, M.G. Road, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai 400001 from 25^th Nov. to 1^st Dec. 2024. This series in Acrylic colours on canvas and water colours on paper will reveal the subtle nuances of the memories of the simplicity of life and peculiarities of beauty of nature and their wonders in the picturesque environment of Vasai and its surroundings.

            This show was inaugurated on 25^th November 2024 by the Chief Guests – Sameer Sata – Project Director – Reliance Industries Ltd., Mumbai in the presence of Fr. Joe Almeida – Principal, St. Joseph High School & Jr. College, Virar, Vijayraj Bodhankar – Eminent Artist, Journalist & Mentor and Dattatraya Thombre – Principal, Vasai Vikasini Art College, Vasai in presence of art lovers, collectors, promoters etc.

                        His present series is a visual narrative of societal life capturing the essence of everyday existence in rural areas around Vasai from attire to festivities to agricultural practices to the architecture of yesterday. He has been raised since yesteryears amidst the verdant landscapes of Vasai. Blessed with abundant natural beauty, Vasai has instilled in him a deep rooted admiration for nature since young age.  He grew up in a family of farmers there and has happy good old memories of simplicity of life there. He was mesmerised by the traditional peculiarities in rural life such as flowers, lanterns, grinding wheels, rhythmic sound of rahata – old farming implement charm of ancestral homes with their simple yet intricate carvings with mangalore tiles on the top etc.  Through his series, he has endeavoured to immortalize this heritage ensuring that it remains accessible to future generation. This series serves as a visual narrative of the simplicity of life in that picturesque area as a legacy of Vasai.

        Manish Sutaar hails from Mumbai. He had his art education at L.S. School of Arts, Bandra Mumbai upto BFA. Then he displayed his thematic works in numerous leading art galleries in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, New Delhi, New York Biennale, Taipei-Taiwan, etc. He also actively participated in art camps at Hyderabad and Pune. He is a proud recipient of several prizes and awards as well as recognitions from leading art promotional institution of national and international reputations. These emphasize profound turmoil and fragile beauty which define the human condition so as to highlight diverse complexity of life in a metropolitan city bustling with hustle & bustle resulting into a pulsating lifeline in urban areas,  Safar transcends more transits leading to a profound metaphor of human aspirations, struggles and fleeting moments. Aptly moved by these moments, his artistic mind has found expressions in colours and forms so as to render unique parameter and dimension to his symbolic exploration of existence via various human postures, moods and unusual characters through flowing forms, textured washes and abstract nuances etc. His quest to unveil and articulate the unseen has resulted into a visual harmony of the intricate complexities of human life.  His canvas has become a refuge where chaos transforms into beauty and despair gives way to hope thereby rendering a happy and positive dimension to his thematic work.

Recent work of a luminary from Govt College of Art and Craft and a renowned contemporary artist Swati Roy is showing  in a solo art exhibition at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 400 018 from 19^th to 25^th November 2024. This series made in watercolours on art paper using Gouche technique will exemplify subtle nuances of her skillful application of apt colours in thoughtful pragmatic thematic perceptions.

Swati Roy had her art education upto diploma in fine arts followed by diploma in Indian style drawing and painting from Govt. College of Art and craft, Kolkata. Then she displayed her thematic work in solo and group art exhibitions at renowned galleries all over India such as Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, Lalit Kala Academy New Delhi etc.

The present series VOY-AGE highlights subtle nuances of the thematic conceptualizations based on fundamental concepts and their skillful application via apt colour tones to suit thematic peculiarities. Her works have a magical sensibility via essence of both Indian and Western arts. Perfections in her style command over the medium and techniques   adopted and expertise in presenting non figurative abstraction compositions are commendable. Her work is in the genre of classic modernism and expressionism which are bold pictorials of her deepest thought. Her thoughts & Inspiration received from nature find a prominent place in the creative endeavors.

Her faith in phenomenal nature as the ultimate source of forms and configuration, duly reflects in the creation by selection of the recollected memories of the observed contents as configuration of colour-masses with shapes defined by contour lines on dimensional pictorial surface divided into flat colour areas. These shapes and spaces being the residues of images of the phenomenal terrains, sky, land, roads, plants etc become expressive. The various contour lines with which she encloses the shapely colour masses endow the shapes with a strange kind of organic rhythm thereby rendering expressionism to the work. In a way her works are at a junction between representationalism, formalism and expressionism. She has adopted suggestive colours and common symbols upheld by plastic rhythm and inventive shapes. The insistent flowing vegetative rhythms of semi-abstract and abstract combinations find a significant place in her creations which are both eloquent and lucid as well as thematically relevant.

Pradip Maitra’s Upcoming Solo Exhibition – ‘Illusion and Reality’

Renowned for his emotive watercolours, senior artist Pradip Maitra showing his recent work series named ‘Illusion and Reality’, offering a profound meditation on the cultural and intellectual upheaval spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. Maitra’s new series was conceived during the 2019-2020 lockdown, marked by global isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty. Like countless others, Maitra found himself confined to his home, grappling with depression and confusion. The previously comforting books underwent a metamorphosis, unsettling him as they seemed to animate and encircle him in a stark embodiment of knowledge confined and remote.

While exploring his daughter’s college library later, he chanced upon a secluded section where valuable manuscripts lay abandoned, their significance fading amidst the hustle and bustle of contemporary society. Maitra’s ‘Book and Lock’ series is founded upon this discovery, exploring the vulnerability of cultural traditions and the increasing conflict between preservation and oblivion. Maitra’s works explore technology’s dominance during the lockdown, using the lock as a subtle metaphor for barriers to ancestral knowledge.

Born in 1959 in West Bengal, Pradip Maitra earned his BFA from the Indian College of Art in 1984. A committed freelance artist, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in India and internationally. As a longstanding member of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Kolkata, since 1988, his work has been displayed at prestigious institutions such as the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, the Nehru Centre, and in global cities like Bangkok and Hong Kong. Maitra’s art is a part of prominent collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, and the Museum of Bengal Art, Kolkata.

‘Illusion and Reality’ invites audiences to contemplate the delicate interplay between safeguarding our cultural legacies and the march of modernity.

The Metal Canvas Stone: Triveni of Art

Art exhibition is a confluence of distinct artistic expressions and mediums, offering a unique experience for art enthusiasts in Mumbai. Asurvedh’s art captures the overlooked moments of everyday life, particularly focusing on the marginalized individuals who are often unseen in the bustle of urban life, such as children selling balloons at traffic signals. Through his sculptures, Asurvedh freezes these fleeting moments of human dynamism, urging viewers to take notice of the lives that often go unnoticed. His art transforms the mundane into something profound, turning these everyday scenes into still, yet expressive, sculptural forms that encourage reflection on the world we ignore.

Vijaya Ved’s artwork embarks on a journey of self-illumination, where she delves into both the tangible and intangible aspects of human existence. Her art resonates with themes of self-awareness, spirituality, and the human connection to the infinite. By portraying the emotional and spiritual relationships in life, she transcends the physical limitations of the body, aiming to illuminate the boundless nature of the soul. Manisha Sanchihar presents an abstract exploration of the inner self, challenging traditional boundaries and highlighting the intricate relationship between attachment and detachment. Through her abstract expressionism, she portrays the boundlessness of the mind and emotions. Manisha’s work suggests a deeper connection with self-expression, illustrating how abstraction can still carry powerful, introspective emotions. Her art invites viewers into a space where distinctions between being and non-being dissolve, offering a moment of introspection and encouraging self-discovery.

Hemant Joshi’s sculptures emphasize the inner essence of forms rather than their outer appearances. Working predominantly in abstract stone sculptures, he seeks to uncover the deeper, hidden realities of objects and beings. His use of different stones to create harmonious compositions reflects a transformative process—one that imbues lifeless materials with a sense of boundless interpretation and beauty. Through this abstraction, Hemant’s sculptures reveal new dimensions and meanings, evoking endless possibilities for viewers to explore.

 Recent work of a talented artist from Mangalore, Pavan Kumar Attavar has been displayed in a solo art show at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai from 10^th to 16^th September 2024 between 11 am to 7 pm.  This series in Acrylic colours on canvas will exemplify his thoughtful perceptions about the relevance and sanctity of musical instruments in general and violin in particular for spreading the eternal grandeur and harmony of music among the masses and, in turn, make them happy and joyful. He has made artistic used of pallet knife and acrylic colours on canvas for his paintings.

The Series presented by Pavan Kumar Attavar elaborates the relevance and sanctity of white space or highlights and dark areas or depth. Having been greatly influenced by high notes and low note in Music and their effect on the listeners and all alike, he has incorporated the same inspiration from music in his artwork using apt colour tones and their rhythmic harmony. His work prominently highlights, the Violin in particular along with other instruments like Damru and Trident and their tonal resonance in orderto spread the fragrance and rhythm of music along masses. Making an optimum and iconic use of bull and other relevant ingredients at strategic arenas in the work, he has demonstrated his skill and command over the medium used in order to render ample contentment and divine tranquillity to all.  Using the mythological background, he has focussed on the sanctity and relevance of both vibrations and resilience as well as tranquillity in the divine music – aptly called the 5^th Ved or Pancham Veda to make the overall humanity happy and exhilarating as well as joyful in the apt perspectives of visual arts.

“Capturing Nature’s Essence: The Nisargarupam Exhibition”

The “Nisargarupam” Painting Exhibition, featuring watercolor landscapes by artist Santosh Kardak , will be organized from June 4th to June 10th, 2024, at the Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Worli, Mumbai. While performing the duties of an art teacher, Santosh Kardak will bring the natural beauty of areas like Junnar to life on paper with the help of his brush. All these paintings will be enjoyed by art lovers at the exhibition. 

Santosh Kardak is a professional artist with a lifelong passion for painting. He pursued his interest in painting from childhood and continued his artistic journey by obtaining a B.A. and subsequently, he pursued a Diploma, completing two years of ATD alongside. Under the mentorship of  well-known artist Sanjay Sable, Kardak refined his skills in the intricate handling of watercolors. Later, during his tenure as an art teacher in Junnar, he adeptly captured the essence of nature using the challenging medium of watercolor. Kardak’s paintings are characterized by his ability to capture the simplicity of everyday subjects on paper in an artistic manner that brings the scene to life.

Upon relocating to the Akole area, Kardak found himself presented with an excellent opportunity for authentic landscape painting. The natural beauty of this region is truly remarkable, inspiring Kardak to create numerous landscape paintings depicting various subjects such as the waterfalls during the monsoons, overflowing paddy fields, and the valleys of Konkan. 

In the face of rapidly changing times, nature is becoming increasingly distant from humanity. The relentless pace of urbanization threatens to erode the beauty of rural areas. In such circumstances, the “Nisargarupam” Exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the wonderful beauty of nature through art. It is an exhibition that should not be missed.

An exhibition of Photographs by Kabeer Ramesh

Photo artist Kabeer Ramesh offers yet another solo exhibition titled ‘Every Picture has a story…’, the previous being ‘Frozen in Time’, which was held at the prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.  ‘Every Picture has a story…’,  exhibited at the ‘Nitya Artists Centre’, Prabhadevi, from 1^st May, 2024 onwards, grapples with, as the title suggests, human endeavours/stories in diverse and vivid contexts; these are photo-stories of promises and perils of being human: the glories and triumphs memorialised in monuments are juxtaposed with toiling workers in busy bazaar streets of Kolkata; the symbols of towering human achievements – the world famous the Taj Mahal and London Bridge – co-habit with the unease of forlorn ruins of the dilapidated and discarded. Interestingly, the idea of loners is presented in creatively imagined forms – the ‘lone stone’ of Shillong relentlessly standing up to vagaries of waters, and the unending wait of birds in summer of Rajasthan. The trees presented in Kabeer Ramesh’s work too depict the diverse meaning universe: the erratic desires of the colonising human, and the falling humanity supported by dried branches of the uprooted. The exhibition also offers noteworthy studies in perspective – the broad-ways and the marvel of the Howrah bridge – what appears as meeting may be illusive, and what is near maybe far.  The monuments in Kabeer’s work present an enigma: the famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris lost its glorious treasures to the leaps of fire; so is the photograph of statue outside the Buckingham Palace, glorious yet stoic.

Kabeer Ramesh’s photographic imagery thus represents the indomitable human spirit, and also cautions against the unreasonable, erratic human desire to colonize. Importantly his works show that all human boundaries, all boundaries, are illusive,  porous and imaginary. One could easily cross over the meaning universe and find multiple meanings through acts and ways of seeing and looking, in varied times and spaces.

DCP Expedition’s 9th Grand Annual Photography Exhibition was inaugurated at the Bombay Art Society, Bandra, Mumbai on 19th April at 12:00 noon. Renowned photography Guru, Technical Editor of Smart Photography, Mr Rohinton Mehta inaugurated the occasion with words of great appreciation for the quality of the work by nearing 100 photographers from across the country who are exhibiting their work in the exhibit. The exhibition is open for all till 21st April 2024.

The exhibition carries with it a legacy of almost a decade, exhibiting astonishing creative photography by hundreds of photographers from across the country and also, from beyond the country borders. The platform aims at providing the talented photographers an exposure to a wider audience. The imagery involves several genres of photography starting from wildlife, birds, macro, landscapes, astro to travel, streets and food photography.

A total of 200breath taking images by 100 plus professional as well as amateur wildlife, nature, travel and food photographers from across India and abroad, will be displayed in two galleries.Photographs printed on Epson enhanced Matt papers and beautifully mounted in frames will glorify the galleries of Bombay Art Society for three days. The previous exhibitions conducted in the bygone years had immense success with nearing 5000 footfalls over 3 days. This year, the exhibition is optimistically looking forward towards over 7500 footfalls.

Recent work of a contemporary artist, Jitendra R.Divte in Acrylic colours on canvas has been displayed in a solo art show in Jehangir Art Gallery, M.G. It will be open for free public viewing there during the gallery timings and showcase his artistic perceptions about the various temples, religious shrines, vivid places of worship, the buildings of historical and social heritage and relevance etc. in his style via apt colour combinations to suit their thematic relevance in different perspectives of visual fine arts. 

This show was inaugurated on 19th February 2024 by Honorable Guests – Anil Naik Eminent artist, Saikat Bakshi Author, Sanara Roy Miss India World 2022 Supermodel Actress. 

Jitendra R. Divte had his art education in fine arts at L.S. Raheja School of Arts, Mumbai, where he stood 7^th in order of merit in Maharashtra in 1998. Then he displayed his work on various themes in Army & Navy Building, Kala Ghoda Association, Mumbai, show in 2005 followed by solo art show at Sahil Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2008. He also participated in some group art exhibitions at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai, Army & Navy Building, Kala Ghoda Association, Mumbai Art Show, Hirji Jehangir Art Gallery, Bombay Art Society Annual Art Show, Vismay Metro Art Gallery, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore etc. He also participated in some International Water Colours art exhibitions in Bangladesh and Russia. He was awarded for his work in water colours in 2017 by IWS INDIA, in 2018 by IWS Bangladesh and in 2021 by IWS Russia. His work was appreciated by the art fraternity in these shows and he received good public response for these presentations. 

The present series in Acrylic Colours on canvas throws light on his artistic impressions and aesthetic perceptions about various historical buildings, their architectural details & the culture & heritage associated with them at various places. He has focussed on presenting the various relevant details at these places in his expressive style using apt colour combinations and their harmony.  He has also highlighted the relevance and sanctity of various temples, religious shrines and places of worship, the heritage and cultural traditions there and their significant peculiarities. He has made artistic use of morning light, afternoon light, evening light alongwith shades, shadows, reflections and illumination effects at the desired locations in the work. He has made use of warm and cool colours and achieved their balance for aesthetic and artistic decoration of his work in the relevant perspectives. He has also used various geometrical forms and achieved their rhythmic unison in the work at the strategic arenas in order to get the desired visual perspectives in his work. These works made in an aesthetic and artistic style using acrylic colours on canvas certainly share a dialogue with the viewers leading to their warm response and appreciation.

Having dedicated two decades to the world of art, Maitrry Shah’s journey began with a childhood passion that propelled her onto the global stage. At the tender age of twelve, she captured hearts and accolades alike at the Kanagawa Biennale in Japan, earning the prestigious silver medal. Since then, her artistic endeavors have taken her to prestigious competitions such as Shankar’s Art Competition and the Global Peace and Environment Award in Tokyo, Japan, where she continues to garner recognition for her contributions to the field.

Recent work of a versatile renowned contemporary artist, Sanjay Sable in Acrylic colours on canvas has been displayed in a solo art exhibition in Jehangir Art Gallery, AC – 2, M.G. Road, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai 400 001 from 23 to 29 January 2024. This exhibition will reveal the outcome of the painstaking efforts taken by the artist to incorporate subtle nuances of Meditation – as an instrument in his creative endeavours in order to enlighten the viewers with newer perspectives of the thematic peculiarities in the relevant arenas of visual fine arts. This is his 5^th solo art exhibition in Jehangir Art Gallery.

This show was inaugurated on 23^rd January 2024 by Chief Guest Mr. Vishwanath Sabale Dean of Sir J.J. School of Art in the presence of Mr. Chandrashekhar Sudhakar Deshmukh Sectional Engineer, High Court Section, P.W.D. Mumbai. Sanjay Sable hails from Osmanabad (now called Dharashiva).  He had his art education at ChitrakalaMahavidyalayaLatur, Abhinava Kala Mahavidyalay. Pune and Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai. He has been a faculty member at ChitrakalaMahavidyalay, Nashik since 2003. He has showcased his earlier thematic works in various art galleries at Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Alibaug, Chandigarh, Nashik, Kolkata, Aurangabad etc., and received overwhelming public response and appreciations for his work.  He is a proud recipient of several prizes, awards and appreciations from prestigious art promotional institutions at Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Dhule, Amritsar, Ratnagiri etc.  His works are in proud collection of many renowned art collectors in India and abroad.  An active participant in several art camps, workshops organised by reputed art promotional institutions all over the country, he has also showcased his thematic work in some International art exhibitions at Dubai, Bangladesh, Washington – USA etc., and earned warm public appreciations from the art fraternity for his thematic work.  He has presented 54 works in this exhibition for public viewing and the largest sizes of artworks in this show are of 15ft x 4.5 ft and 12ft x 6ft.

The present series in Acrylic colours on canvas illustrate s his transformative thematic perceptions on Meditation – Art An Instrument in the unique expressive style and techniques. He has assimilated various transformations in his style and techniques during the experimentations at different stages and ultimately incorporated their transformed versions in his work in order to render perfection in visual perspectives and various forms of ingredients to accommodate the desired visual effects in them. As a result, his works in these norms and perspectives do represent his newer aesthetic prerogative and    conceptualization alongwith the technical excellence achieved in artistically and aesthetically adorning the works with desired visual parameters in the apt perspectives of fine art.  His paintings reveal an outcome of the total human involvement in his work with free and relaxed mind that is totally unbiased and unprejudised. The fruit of meditation of an artist in achieving unbiased results and outcomes from his endeavours bear true testimony to his sincerity, total dedication to work and an inherent urge to adorn the outcomes with the desired perspectives of divine effects of sublimity, rhythm and ecstasy in the apt arenas of visual fine arts.  With these instruments of meditation along with an experience of about 2 decades in rendering his yeomen services propagation of visual fine arts, Sanjay Sable has created and presented this unique series of artwork that truly illustrates his complete command over the medium and techniques used as well as his positive and optimistic as well as rational approach to incorporate numerous supportive ingredients on a divine and spiritual plane in the work so as to enhance its visual glory and picturesqueness in the desired perspectives. 

All works in this series in abstract forms reveal his sound and firm mindset and an eagerness to enlighten all with the newer perspectives of his transformative forms of art work which have the peculiar effect of divine sublimity, eternity and rhythmic ecstasy in them at strategic arenas.

Legendary photojournalist Mukesh Parpiani’s need to chronicle the unusual began at a very young age when he first began to help his brother. His elder brother who was fascinated by photography, had a darkroom at home, and Mukesh used to wash his prints. Gradually, he began to work towards achieving this dream. He enrolled at the Pillai School of Photography (1969-1970), after which, he worked in wedding and travel photography. During this brief stint, he realised that his city has so many intermingled narratives to offer, whose ever-evolving nature is simply waiting to be chronicled.

In 1981, Russi Karanjia, the Editor of The Daily, a morning newspaper in Bombay, offered him a job as their photographer.At The Daily, Parpiani photographed many political leaders and celebrities. Due to this, he became a familiar name in the journalism fraternity. Viveck Goenka, the Chairman and Managing Director of The Indian Express, who had been following Parpiani’s work and career, saw potential in his vision. Eventually, he decided to recruit Parpiani as the photo editor of The Indian Express’ seventeen editions. During his time there, he covered historical events of significance nationally and internationally.Mid-Day, an afternoon tabloid, who noticed Parpiani’s work as a photojournalist and editor, decided to offer him a job as the photo editor. It was the beginning of many things – the turn of the century as well as the tectonic shift of photographic technologies. Tariq Ansari, the Managing Director of the newspaper, gave Parpiani the liberty to develop the department as he needed. Parpiani, upon recognising the dawn of DSLRs, requested Ansari to acquire them for the photo department. Under his tutelage, many young individuals became renowned documentary photographers and photojournalists.

Parpiani curated his first photo exhibition in March 1989 at Piramal Art Gallery of NCPA. His penchant for curating photography exhibition gave him the opportunity to continue even after his retirement at the age of 58.

In 2009, Khushroo Suntook, Chairman of the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), offered him to head the Piramal Art Gallery. Suntook had been familiar with Parpiani’s work and entrusted him with the running of the gallery. For 14 years, Parpiani has single-handedly nurtured and educated the next generation of photographers. He has organised over 250 talks, workshops, exhibitions, and seminars to disseminate photography.

Parpiani has touched countless lives with his photographs while reforming countless more as a mentor. His strengths and humanity lie in his ability to mould the way we perceive Bombay, while his sensitivity and perceptiveness conquer the hearts of those fortunate individuals who have, knowingly or coincidentally, crossed paths with him.

Retrospective Show – 101th Solo Art Exhibition

Yashwant Shriwadkar’s paintings capture the fleeting light and ever-changing atmosphere in nature. Rendered in impressionist style these paintings evoke a sense of movement and atmosphere in landscape paintings. Color and light played a profound role in Shriwadkar’s painting process. Before painting on the canvas, he made several sketches on site, in the open, using sunlight as the only source of light.

Varanasi held a special fascination for him, leading to more than 18 visits to the mystical city. The gentle waters of the Ganges, the boat rides, the morning worship at the Ghats, as well as the majestic architecture has been aptly arrested by the artist. He also painted landscapes from Kerala, Rajasthan, Kashmir, and Goa, along with large commission canvases like Hyde Park and the Gateway of India.

Shirwadkar’s oil-on-canvases garnered widespread acclaim, resonating not just with Indian audiences but captivating hearts globally.Spanning over 45 years, Shirwadkar’s prolific artistic career was marked by an impressive legacy of around 100 solo exhibitions and over 260 group shows both in India and internationally. Through this extensive body of work, he established a prosperous art career and earned a prominent reputation in the art world before his passing in 2020.

Shirwadkar’s approach to painting landscapes went beyond mere depictions of sites or anonymous figures. His focus delved into capturing the enveloping warmth and color of sunlight, not merely the physical surroundings.

RAOSAHEB GURAV ——– A LEGENDARY ARTIST

Artist Raosaheb Gurav completed his diploma in Fine Arts from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune in 1970 and thereafter he became an Art master. He worked as a Master of Fine Arts in the same institute and after 40 years of service, he retired as a Principal of Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pashan, Pune.

He is an artist who is evergreen and always engrossed in his work,irrespective of the amount of work or his age. Once again he is exhibiting his art works ‘A Journey through colours’  at a very prestigious venue Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. From projects like “Hanuman” and “Sherlock Holmes” to studios such as “Silvertune,” “Crest,” and “Illusion” in Mumbai, as well as working on serials like “King” through “Escortoon” in Delhi, Patil has left an imprint in the animation industry.

Focusing solely on the canvas, Patil’s art became a symphony of colours, captivating art lovers globally, In 2019, at the ‘Olympia Art’ International Competition, India, led by Patil, secured first place and a gold medal in ‘Composition and Landscape,’ triumphing over Russia. 

Since 2007, Patil has dedicated his full time to the world of art. He is an active member of Sanskar Bharati organization. He has participated in the spot landscape study tour organized by Art Society of India  under the guidance of Shri Vasudeo Kamath and  Vijay Aachrekar (eminent artists). Pratibha Wagh’s Enchanting Canvases 

An artist of any discipline first sees the idea manifest in his mind and then begins his expression of it. Mrs. Pratibha Wagh celebrates nature in her mind before giving it a form to be enjoyed by its beholders. Her paintings of nature are resplendent with the rich influences of Madhubani, Chitrakathi and Indian miniature paintings. The resultant style inherently demands a rather difficult merger of detailing and precision while the size of her canvas doesn’t allow her the liberty of being artistically vague, it does insist upon sharp precision of strokes that are at once bold and light. Mrs. Wagh manages this tightrope walk with consummate ease. Her paintings give you a distinctly joyous experience of a dreamlike state, and their old world. The message in her paintings is loud and clear. Unless man loves and respects  nature, he has no right to its beauty and benevolence. 

Jyotsna Sonavane: A Journey Inward 

Jyotsna Sonavane describes her artistic journey as an inward exploration for outward expressions. Her abstract language of lines and colors captures the evolving compositions that gain new meanings over time. Inspired by nature, Sonavane’s paintings mimic the organic beauty of stone, petrified wood, and flowing rainwater. The emotional depth of her work is conveyed through the movement of brushwork and layered colors, creating a rich history within each piece.

Rekha Bhivandikar: Exploring Memories Through Art

Rekha Bhivandikar, a contemporary artist, presents ‘Memories,’ an exhibition that reflects her deep admiration for memories. Having grown up in a small village, Wada, Bhivandikar’s journey as a commercial artist includes 26 group exhibitions throughout India. Her recent focus involves exploring the similarities and differences between Maharashtra Lok Kala-Warli and Bihar-Madhubani, creating a fusion of these traditional art forms.

Mita Vora: Passionate Tigers on Canvas

Mita Vora’s art is centered around the majestic tiger, symbolizing physical strength, vitality, and health. Through the use of ink and palette knife on canvas, Vora skillfully brings these powerful creatures to life. Her commendable and brilliant style involves a universal mix of raw and bold layers of colors, reflecting subtle values and positive attributes associated with the tiger.

Paneri Bhiva Punekar: Transcendence of Banaras

Paneri Bhiva Punekar’s series, ‘Transcendence of Banaras,’ is a thematic conceptualization of the religious sanctity, glory, and divine fervor associated with the holy city of Varanasi. Using poster colors on paper in her unique style, Punekar’s works artistically adorn various pieces with ethnic and exquisite hues, capturing the spirituality prevalent in the temples, shrines, and continuous chanting at the Ghats. 

The ‘Maithili’ exhibition is a celebration of the divine energy inherent in women, transferred onto rich, vibrant canvases that aim to invoke the same energy in the viewers.  About Artist Madhavi Joshi                                                From time immemorial, numerous art forms emerged through man’s aesthetic adventure. Amongst them painting is one of the most creative art forms which uplifts the mind, life and soul towards the divine.

In the realm of art an artist always gets inspiration from the environment and entourage he lives in. Artist Madhavi Joshi  Engineer by qualification and Artist by passion graduated in Fine Arts Painting from  Pune University has a unique style depicting spiritual Indian mythological idols and Hindu iconography through her paintings .

She has exhibited her work through 25+ solo and  100+group exhibitions in famous galleries in India and abroad and achieved more than 10 awards.

In addition to this she has participated in numerous auctions and donated her paintings for charities.

Her series of paintings represents her artistic expression on the sanctity and relevance of numerous vignettes of Indian culture compared to their modern practices.

In her series – ‘The Divine Perception’ , she has inculcated various elements of nature, their symbols and iconography to impart visual effects of glory and transparency along with the memories of countries past heritage through impressive strokes .The relevance’s of various colours and symbols and their sanctity along with meditational hues are prominent in her work.

The artist’s work in her latest series ‘The Childhood stories’  is characterized by its thought-provoking narrative, which not only showcases the beauty of nostalgia but also addresses critical issues that demand our attention and empathy. Through her intriguing and engaging techniques, she manages to create a striking juxtaposition between the joys and the hardships of childhood, leaving a lasting impact on the viewer’s mind. This series serves as a testament to the power of art to convey complex emotions and to draw attention to important social issues in a visually captivating and emotionally resonant manner.

Relevance of vivid lines , geometrical figures , shapes and contours along with their colourful lines through the illuminations/brightness , light and shade and reflection effects in the apt arenas have together enhanced the visual perceptive levels in her creations which often amaze and mesmerises one and all by leaving an indelible impact on their  minds and souls.

 She says that “nature is a wonderful art piece created by god –whether it is Earth ,Space,Universe,Living beings or divine natural powers are enough to ignite my imagination and inspire me to create and pursue my artistic journey.”

Sculptor Sunil Deore’s latest exhibition promises to be a visual feast for art enthusiasts, as it takes center stage at the Nehru Centre Art Gallery from November 17 to 20, 2023. This eagerly anticipated showcase offers a unique opportunity to witness the evolution of Deore’s artistry and experience the cultural richness that defines his work. 

This show was inaugurated on 17^th November 2023 by Honorable Guest Supriyatai Sule, National President Nationalist Congress Party 

Sunil Deore embarked on his artistic journey as a student at the Sir JJ School of Art. He laid the foundation for his studies in 1989 and furthered his artistic education at the Aurangabad School of Art in 1995. Completing his focused studies in sculpture, he honed his craft at the prestigious Sir JJ School of Art in Mumbai.  

Sunil Deore has earned widespread acclaim, securing numerous national and international awards, among them the prestigious Indira Gandhi Sadbhavana Award. His artistic prowess has transcended borders, with exhibitions held across the globe, from London and Dubai to Abu Dhabi and the United States.

Notably, Deore stands as the creator of the national emblem sculpture for the newly constructed Sansad Bhavan, a testament to his significant contributions to public art and national symbolism. His achievements underscore the global recognition of his talent and the impact of his work on both a national and international scale.

Captivating Exhibition Unveils Diverse Artistic Brilliance in Mumbai

Art enthusiasts and aficionados are in for a treat as the Nehru Centre Art Gallery in Mumbai prepares to host a mesmerizing exhibition featuring the collective brilliance of six distinguished artists from Bengal.

Running from October 31 to November 6th, this showcase promises to transcend boundaries and seamlessly intertwine narratives through a diverse range of techniques and inspirations. Each artist brings forth a unique perspective, weaving a vivid tapestry of creativity that promises to captivate all who enter. 

Arup Kumar Das: Mr. Arup’s work interest has drawn inspiration particularly from freedom, but not limited to the visual area. Architecture also influences his work. The main admiration is architectural inputs in his work. Curvilinear shape/line has always been a critical element in Arup’s work. It is a simplification of many elements relevant to his expression: the feminine curve, an opening, an architectural element, the line that traces a graph or as part of the organic world. The nuances and expressive quality of the curve is explored in printmaking and drawing, and informs all of his work. Arup Das currently teaches in Applied art Dept at Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta.

Arun Paul:  Arun Paul got his BVA & MVA degree in Textile Design from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, in the year 1997 and 2000. He also teaches there. His works are mostly composed with various forms and colour patches. Motifs and solid type background contrasting the whole construction of his compositions.

Mrinmoy Das: Mrinmoy Das likes to express all things that have to do with fabric. His passion is fabric dyeing, using natural and commercial dyes and also painting, stamping, screen printing, and also his work is fabric quilting, manipulating along with threads and other embellishment that bring life and contrast to the wall hangings. In his journey, Mrinmoy is practicing as Fiber Artist and presently teaching in Textile Design at Govt College of Art & Craft, Calcutta. He became passionate about studying weaving, dyeing, and printing and embroideries techniques.

Suman Kumar Pal: Graduated from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta in 1992 and Post Graduated from Rabindra Bharati University in the subject of Painting. Suman Kumar Pal a Contemporary Mural Artist, with various prestigious awards, presently teaching in his own college. His murals depict the suburban culture and its complexities. The Architectural buildings are the prototypes of the diverse mentality with commonalities.

Pradip Mondal: Nature is the main composition of Pradip Mondal’s sculptures. He has BVA and MVA in Modelling and Sculpture from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, where he teaches also. His sculptures represent the contouring base lines of nature. The linear metallic compositions are just simple in nature to express the transparency in objects of this phenomenal world.  The lightness of heavy metal compositionally completes the surroundings.

Partha Protim Gayen: Partha’s works are statements about history & our relation with Mother Nature. The connectivity of society & nature is an important core thing of these creations. His environmentally concerned attempt reminds us that contemporary art has a role to play in making sense of the world & doing it by reviving the belief that everything we are accessing or developing, should actually for the betterment of Mother Nature. Completing his BVA and MVA in Modelling and Sculpture from Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, Partha currently teaches in his own college. He has a MFA in Art History and Aesthetics from  M.S.U. Baroda.

Sharath Holla brings on canvas an extensive range of art practices and styles, particularly in figurative and landscape art that weaves between realism and abstraction. His work is an exploration of the enduring appeal of figurative art. Giliyal Jayaram Bhat has been creating art for nearly four decades as industrialist and artist; and his style, approach and zest for the craft has evolved from portraits and landscapes that reflected formal training to intense abstraction of landscapes and moods that depict compositions of uninhibited freedom letting the elements interact within themselves in the pictorial plane, creating balances, imbalances, breathing spaces and a burgeoning of possibilities for viewer involvement and interpretation. The artist seems to effortlessly create ‘industrial poetry’ on surfaces, his works revealing the beauty hidden within the man-made, industrial environments, making us reconsider our perception of landscapes. In his latest series, one can observe the negative spaces being flipped to form relevant subjects that beckon the viewer’s time, easing them in and leaving remnants of peace in the viewer. He presents a world which reflects our inner world landscapes in a language of the formless from his lived experiences and observations. 

Dr. Shivaprakash, with his vast experience in art, education and travel explores the intimate connection between portraiture and the creative process by incorporating live demonstrations of art-making alongside a stunning collection of portraits. His experience in the fisheries department is reflected in his artworks that show an intersection of contemporary art and the animal kingdom. This collection showcases a diverse range of artistic perspectives and techniques, offering viewers a unique glimpse into the complex relationship between humans and animals in our rapidly changing world. It is a testament to the enduring allure of capturing the human spirit on canvas and the ever-evolving nature of artistic expression. 

Microbiologist, professor and self-taught artist, Jayashri Sharma lights up her canvases with delightfully moving figurative pieces that carry softness of the divine feminine in her works. Female figurative paintings have a rich history and continue to be a dynamic and evolving genre within the art world. Jayashri’s works aims to celebrate the diversity, complexity, and resilience of women through the lens of art. It invites viewers to engage with these paintings and consider the role of art in shaping and reflecting our perceptions of gender and identity. Through these artworks, we are reminded that the female figure is not merely a subject for art but a source of inspiration, strength, and empowerment. In addition, her use of nature as a focus in her paintings is noticeable and her strength lies in the painting’s ability to capture the beauty, complexity and interconnectedness of the natural world and the human form. 

Geology and art may seem like two very different fields, but they can intersect in fascinating ways. Muralidhar seems to use the textures, patterns, and colours found in rocks, minerals, and landscapes to serve as a rich source of inspiration as a painter and designer. Realistic Indian art is a testament to the enduring spirit of Indian creativity, encapsulating the nation’s diverse heritage, traditions, and contemporary life. Through its portrayal of the real and the imagined, this genre continues to be a source of inspiration, reflection, and connection for artists and viewers alike, serving as a mirror to India’s multifaceted identity. The Embassy of Peru in India is set to immerse visitors in the rich cultural tapestry of the Andean region with its upcoming exhibition dedicated to the iconic Pucará Bull, scheduled to be inaugurated this Tuesday, October 17th, at the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery in Nariman Point, Mumbai. This unique showcase promises to be a captivating exploration of the Peruvian artistry and heritage. 

On the auspicious day of October 17, 2023, the grandeur of the show was officially unveiled under the gracious presence of Ms. Sunaina Kejriwal, the esteemed Director of Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall & Art Gallery. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of eminent Consul Generals. Among them were Mr. Edy Wardoyo, the Consul General of Indonesia,  Mr. Aleksander Danda, the Consul General of Poland, Switzerland’s Consul Generals, Mr. Martin Maier. Additionally, the event saw the honourable presence of Mr. Feroz Dubash and Mr. Milind Hardas, who was there to represent the esteemed Protocol of the Government of Maharashtra. The event was further adorned by the attendance of other esteemed members of the consular corps, including the dedicated Honorary Consuls, whose collective presence elevated the occasion to a truly global celebration of art and culture. 

The exhibition, which has already toured many countries around the world, is an important part of the celebrations of the 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations with India. They will also be able to enjoy some of the highlights of the important De La Mata art collection of indigenist paintings. 

The Pucará Bull, an emblematic symbol deeply rooted in Peru’s history, represents more than just an artistic masterpiece; it is a compelling emblem of protection, fertility and prosperity. This beautiful ceramic originates from the small town of Pucará in southern Peru, where local artisans have been crafting these ceramic sculptures for generations. The bulls, adorned with vibrant and intricate designs, traditionally stand guard on rooftops and entrances, warding off evil spirits and bestowing blessings upon the household.

Mumbaikars will be able to appreciate some of the finest of these beautiful ceramics and embark on a journey to the heart of the Andes between October 17th and 27^th. Visitors to the exhibition can expect to see a diverse collection of Pucará Bulls, each with its own story to tell.           In a celebration of artistic prowess and cultural significance, three  contemporary artists – Asif Sharief Shaikh, Zakir Husain Tanha and Ram Kumbhar – have come together to present the ‘Identity’ Art Group Exhibition. He had his art education at Vasai Vikasini’s college of visual arts, Mumbai followed by an advanced course at L.S. Raheja School of Arts, Bandra, Mumbai. He earlier showcased his works under the series ‘Joy of life ‘Atmakhoj’ and others in many solo and group art shows in reputed art galleries at Mumbai, Jaipur, New Delhi, Ujjain, Dubai, Bhubaneshwar etc and got good response for his thematic presentations. He also took part in many art camps, workshops, demonstrations and received several awards and recognitions from leading art promotional institutions of global and international reputations. His works are in the proud collection of many leading art collectors and promotional institutions. 

He mostly works in Acrylic colours on canvas, He has been deeply obsessed by Nature & its wonders in different seasons, panorama of nature, his real life experiences and their memoirs. His drawings showcase the visual impressions/ memories that shape his idiom. They illustrate inspirations from the rustic earthy life from rural Maharashtra. He distills the recognizable iconic images into basic elements. So his ethereal language is born out of ephemeral impressions of the wavering and splitting sun rays on water, the cattle walks on dusty roads and hovering twilight. A deep obsession  with leaves, vivid trees and their trunks, plants, moss gathered on wet  walls, rustic steel plates stones of vivid sizes, earth and their everlasting impact on his sensitive mind alongwith the impression of their close interactions, marvellous associations with the surroundings through fragrance/ aroma spread everywhere form various colourful flowers, petals etc find a prominent place in his works. Also, he is fascinated by their affectionate proximity and the resulting happiness or pleasantness that originates from such iconic ingredients complemented by the brightness of sunlight, the glittering of stars, chirping of birds, butterflies, mists, dew and other wonders of nature in different seasons. 

His latest thematic works incorporating these ample ingredients and their useful interactions/ interrelations/ associations always generate positive energy and visual pleasure. Being lucid and transparent, they always share a dialogue with the viewers due to their unique  compositional perspectives duly supplemented by apt colours and their harmony in the respective arenas. 

Zakir Husain Tanha –

He hails from Solapur and had his art education at Solapur and Mumbai. Then he participated in many art exhibitions in leading art galleries all over the world. His thematic work  was always appreciated by art lovers and collectors in Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, New York, USA, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Dubai, Netherland, Iran, etc He is a proud recipient of several awards and appreciations for his thematic presentations in art galleries , art camps, workshops, demonstrations, special thematic presentations etc. He has been duly honoured by art fraternity in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Switzerland and France, Germany, Singapore, and WTC Dubai etc. His work is his unique identity and is known in the present art world as its creator. 

He often deals with complex contemporary issues and his recent series ’Bint-e-Hawwa’ deals with one of the contemporary issues about the importance of female in a society. Working in Acrylic colours on canvas with a free creative mind, his works illustrate his day to day experiences, environment, social issues and nature, science etc His works mainly travel between many art movements like surrealism, realism, abstraction etc in an artistic manner. He has highlighted superb human quantities like mercy, affection, attachment, affinity, innocence, kindness, love etc in a woman in apt perspectives and arenas of his works and also a symbol of knowledge, beauty, freshness, enthusiasm, colours, energy etc that enhance  the emotional aspect of any woman. His thematic works are very perceptive and unique as well as aesthetic. 

Ram Kumbhar –

Born in a family of Kumbhar as in a small village, he developed an attachment with clay and pottery since childhood. Later on, he had his art education at Sir J. J. school of Arts, Mumbai in sculptures. His basic instincts during the childhood stay in native place in the village were duly supplemented by advanced techniques and skills learnt & practised afterwards. He has worked in many media like brass, steel, fiber, glass, copper, metal etc. He has showcased his work in many art exhibitions in leading art galleries and got good public response from the present art fraternity. He is a proud recipient of many awards from leading art promotional institutions and his works are in collection of many reputable art collectors. 

His works are the unique identity of the creative instincts and skills in him and he is known as a creator of this work in the present art world. His latest series of water bubbles, balloons, series of bubbles etc exemplify the creative endeavours made in S S & MS, Metal, Brass & SS   fibre etc. They denote the life experiences on a regular basis and render ample joy, pleasure, curiosity, happiness etc to all viewers due to their compositions and supreme visual perspectives in the apt arenas of fine arts. His bubble series & other series being eloquent and transparent always share dialogue with the viewers leading to their joy and good appreciation.

Chennai based artist Sandhya Manne creates oil paintings and intricate Zentangle ink drawings. She is India’s first Certified Zentangle Teacher, she has shared her knowledge and expertise, teaching Zentangle at Art centers and Community colleges in the USA before relocating to Chennai. She advocates Zentangle for mindfulness by offering regular corporate sessions, private and monthly group Zentangle workshops at her studio, as well as through engaging online courses touching the lives of aspiring artists both near and far.

The heart of my artistic theme for this collection is the ethereal beauty of flowers. Each bloom encapsulates profound symbolism, representing concepts from love and beauty to growth and resilience. Flowers bloom as a constant reminder of the cyclic nature of life, the fleeting beauty of existence, and the enduring essence of the human experience.

Oil paintings serve as the cornerstone of my artistic expression, enabling me to capture the elegance and beauty of flowers. The rich, luscious pigments of oil paints allow me to achieve depth and luminosity, establishing an intimate connection with the subject. Interwoven seamlessly within the oil paintings is the captivating art of Zentangle collage. The rhythmic repetition of intricate patterns and motifs, intertwined with floral elements, fosters a dynamic dialogue between the structured and the organic, the intentional and the spontaneous. This infusion breathes life into each piece, suffusing serenity and engaging viewers to find solace, as though they are wandering through a secret garden of the mind.

Texture plays a pivotal role in my process, as I use cold wax for medium with a palette knife to sculpt tactile surfaces on canvas. The interplay of light and shadow adds dimensions to my floral compositions, while the textural elements become a metaphor for the complexities and layers of emotions that flowers evoke, serving as a reminder of the depth within ourselves.

My artistic journey is an ever-evolving expedition of self-discovery —a symphony of colors, textures, and motifs resonating with the human soul. Through the dynamic interplay of Zentangle collage over the oil paintings, and the enduring theme of flowers, I aim to create a captivating visual experience that celebrates the beauty of life, the complexity of emotions, and the serenity of mindfulness. I invite viewers to immerse themselves in my collection, “Blossoms in Bloom: A Floral Fantasy,” and to wander through the secret garden of the mind.

Susheel Martin Foundation (SMF) is a Nireekshana School and Day care for intellectually challenged children from urban slums in Bangalore. They work to empower the intellectually challenged children with education, hygienic care and vocational skills and thereby integrate them into a normal lifestyle in the society. They have organised this show with an aim to promote such activity and thereby do the promotion for the artists and their artwork in different mediums and styles in the present art world.

A part of sales proceeds from the artwork in this exhibition will be generously used by the foundation for noble social causes on a charitable basis.

Romanticism has remained a popular subject among artists worldwide, and for good reason. It is a simple and relatable theme that resonates with audiences of all kinds. Masterpieces such as “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt, Claude Monet’s “Water Lilies” series, Salvador Dali’s “The Persistence of Memory,” Rembrandt’s “The Night Watch,” Michelangelo’s “Creation of Adam,” and many others have served as exemplars of this genre of painting, inspiring artists to continue creating such works since the beginning of civilization.

Sharad Kale’s style represents this genre as well. When regarding each of his works individually, one cannot escape the feeling of serenity, calmness, and divinity, all at once. His works are lyrical and create a rhythm that engrosses and transpires the viewer into a state of total bliss. Kale uses his canvas surface in a poetic manner, with his human figures and nature in complete synchrony. The artist invariably employs a bright palette that is bold and colorful, leaving the spectator elated.

Sharad’s works mostly depict people from rural areas who are in love. This can be readily discerned by observing the expressions of his subjects. Both men and women’s faces show shyness and deep affection. Moreover, their faces are those of people who are pure and unaffected by the complicated urban world outside the villages. They are dressed in traditional Indian attire. One of the common elements in a few of his works is the flute. Lord Krishna, the romantic god, was known to have played a flute for his Gopis. The moment one sees the flute in Kale’s paintings, they are transported to that era. It brings a feeling of spirituality and divinity to the spectator. He then complements his subjects with natural elements such as flowers, foliage, and sometimes the moon, further enhancing the aura of romance in his composition.

Sharad has successfully achieved a style of his own, and his thought process and painting technique do not fail to deliver what he wants to convey to his audiences.

A Soulful Voyage: Melding Memories with Visions, a solo exhibition of paintings by Seema Bhargava, alumni of the college of arts in Delhi.  The artist has a breathtaking level of precision and attention to detail, but what truly distinguishes her is her capacity to stir up strong feelings in the viewer with her exquisite creations. She paints all of her landscapes in oil and in substantial sizes, giving the feeling to viewers that they may stroll into these scenes and inhabit their captivating realms. The basis for Seema’s works was formed by her excursions to Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.

These are works to be admired and enjoyed for their perspectives and for the creative use of pictorial spaces. They carry with them a contagious sense of wonder and it reawakens a wanderlust that most of us share. By weaving a rich tapestry of hues, forms, textures Seema Bhargava melds memories with her own visions on the canvas. His works illustrate glimpses of Indian culture and tribal life / culture. 

 Mamta Sharma – She is a contemporary creative artist. She had her art education in Raheja School of Arts, Mumbai and Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai.  She is a proud recipient of  prestigious awards as well as achieved Guinness Book of World record participation award,

She has actively participated in about 50 solo and group art exhibitions.  She works in  style and has been obsessed by love for nature and musical instruments. Her works prominently display iconic motifs based on nature, vivid emotions in human mind and rhythm of music in an expressive style. 

 Rupesh Patil – He is a professional fine artist and has showcased his thematic works in several solo and group art exhibitions all over the globe. A proud recipient of many national and international awards including Prafulla Dahanukar national award, he has been obsessed by Indian Culture, heritage and beauty of nature. He has done several custom made artworks and specialises in water colours / pastels.  His works on Indian culture & religions have been widely applauded by the art world. 

  Kumar Gaikwad – His works reflect Indian culture and its heritage. He strives to capture the essence of Indian culture and traditions through his art.  His works denote bright colours having thematic peculiarity and white backgrounds. His works are indicative of attractive colours and stylized forms in the unique stylish expressions. 

 Raju Autade – He works in Acrylic colours which mostly reveal a disciplined use of dots and vivid geometrical shapes. His works depict typical stylish presentation of various realms of life in an expressive style marked by unique iconic motifs and their colourful hues. 

 Kalpana Arya – Her works denote simplicity and memoirs of old walls, narrow lanes and by lanes in rural areas and lifestyle of the folk in that area. The works also depict the vignettes of vintage memories of her stay in that region. The works have a nostalgic visual perspective and denote apt colour combinations to suit the thematic peculiarity and relevance. Her cityscapes are very attractive and stylish. 

 Chetan Vaity – His sculptures in White marble showcase vivid realms of life in urban area and glimpses of historical traditions and heritage of Indian culture. His works e.g. Hourse and others indicate his thoughtful and innovative peculiarities to adorn the works with the desired visual effects in apt perspectives. His works are mostly the wonderful twists to the traditional forms as well as indicative of good craftsmanship. 

 Makarand Joshi – His works in Water colours are bright and attractive. The latest work of a contemporary artist, Jyotiba Patil in Acrylic colours on canvas using palette knife and colour splash technique will be showcased in a solo art exhibition at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Dr. A. Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 400018 from 20^th to 26^th Dec. 2022 between 11 am. To 7 pm.  This series in abstract style will reveal his ode to creativity via pleasant hues of colours and innovations in a typical style and skilful technique.

Jotiba Patil is a freelance artist and had his earlier solo exhibitions in reputed art galleries at Thane, Kolhapur and Mumbai. He has been actively working on the numerous details of Nature and their apt iconic motifs in various forms so as to incorporate them in his work. He has used his skill and palette knife technique to achieve good visual effects in his works to suit the thematic sanctity and relevance.

The present series depicts his endeavours on Nature and its numerous wonders in the form of treasures in different seasons and periods. These have mostly been achieved by him using Sap green, Cobalt Blue, Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Crimson Red and other colours using their tonal harmony leading to visual resonance and equilibrium. He has also indicated hues of spirituality and the illusionary transcendental perceptions in order to adorn his works both artistically and aesthetically in the relevant perspectives of visual fine arts. He has used colour splashing technique through a skilful motif and apt perspectives using unique visual language of artistic expressions via the relevant iconic motifs and metaphors.
