Top Healthcare professionals and Organizations honored during the WMC COVID-19 Healthcare Excellence Awards in Dubai
Dubai: World Medical Council (WMC) in association with Biz Events Management, organized the COVID – 19 Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 virtually in Dubai on 14th January 2021. The award ceremony was organized to recognize the efforts of all the individuals and organizations in the healthcare sector who were at the forefront of the COVID-19 response.
Eventhough every industry has been facing a tough time, the effect of the same on the medical industry had been extremely overwhelming. This pandemic explosion has, in fact, highlighted the importance of the health facilities systems and hospitals. As the virus still continues to spread havoc on mankind its time to refelect on how prepared are we and what steps we can take to mitigate such viral attacks in the future.
To discuss the effects of COVID 19: Experiences, Lessons Learned and Challenges ahead for the Healthcare Sector, a special panel discussion was organized during the event, The panel was headed by Dr. Mohamed Rafique, Medical Director, Prime Hospital (Moderator) and the panelists included Dr. Raja Sekhar Gujju, CEO, Anglo Arabian Healthcare LLC; Dr. Shahad Alsaadi, CEO, Samaa Medical Group; and Mr. Gopinath Sabnivise, Chief Strategic Officer, Canadian Specialist Hospital.
Individual awards were bestowed upon Dr. Mahesh Kumar Arora, Specialist Anesthetist, Lifecare Hospital and Dr. Mohamed Rafique, Medical Director, Prime Hospital who were honored as the Frontline Medical Heros; Women Personality Award was bestowed upon Ms. Renju Joe, Regional Nursing Director, VPS Healthcare (Musaffah Region) and Healthcare Personality Award was presented to Dr. Raza Siddiqui, CEO, Arabian Healthcare Group.
In the Organization award category Excellence in CSR Contribution award was presented to Lifecare Hospital and Medi Q Healthcare Group; Excellence in Leadership award was bestowed upon RAK Hospital; Award for Excellence in Healthcare Technology was presented to Canadian Specialist Hospital; Excellence in Community Involvement award was bestowed upon Medeor 24×7 International Hospital and Ahalia Hospital;Excellence in Home Healthcare Services was presented to Manzil Healthcare Services and Al Zeyarat Home Healthcare Centre; Award for Excellence in Patient Satisfaction was bestwed upon Burjeel Royal Hospital, International Modern Hospital and Health Bay; Most Valuable Corporate Response Award was presented to Amina Hospital; Most Valuable Medical Innovation award was bestowed upon Openminds Psychiatry Counselling and Neuroscience Center; Samaa Medical Group was declared Best Medical Center, Oman Insurance was named Best Healthcare Insurance Provider and Best Hospital Award was presented to LLH Hospitals.
